Welcome to Holeman Quarter Horses! We are glad you have stopped by our web site! Browse thru our web site to become familiar with our breeding program and visit our sale barn to see the horses we have for sale. Our ranch is located in southeast Kansas where we have been raising registered Quarter Horses and commercial cattle since 1990. At Holeman Quarter Horses our goal is to raise top cutting horses that can excel in either the arena or out on the ranch. While our primary focus is on cutting horses, we also raise a few reiners and reined cowhorses, and we sell several geldings every year that have become superior roping & ranch horses. We strive to raise horses that have plenty of bone, are trainable, and bring us satisfied repeat customers. At Holeman Quarter Horses, we believe that great sires come from great dams. If you look at our stallion selection, you will see that Fair Little Peppy and Cowasocki Cat both have great dams. Tenino Fair by Doc Bar produced horses with earnings over $850,000 including Little Tenina 1991 NCHA Futurity Champion. Miss Echo Wood earned $63,000+ in NCHA competition and has produced NCHA money earners in excess of $1.3 million to date including Cowasocki Cat’s full siblings Wild Haired Cat (NCHA LTE $134,000), Miss Woody Two Shoes (NCHA LTE $136,000), Wiley Cat (NCHA LTE $140,000+), & Woodys Wildest Cat (NCHA LTE $342,000). Our broodmare band includes bloodlines of noteworthy broodmare sires such as Gay Bar King, Mr. San Peppy, Colonel Freckles, Little Peppy, Doc Bar, Sugar Bars, Three Bars (TB), Smart Little Lena, and Doc O’Lena. We have broadened our mare genetics by breeding to several top stallions in the performance horse industry thru use of cooled shipped semen. The top outside performance stallions we have bred to include Smooth As A Cat, Nitro Dual Doc, Dual Jazz, Cat Ichi, Lil Ruf Peppy, Smart Starbuck, Smart Little Pistol, Hydrive Cat, & Einstein’s Revolution. We have retained daughters of these great stallions to broaden our mare genetics. Holeman Quarter Horses is a family owned and operated ranch. All family members are directly involved with the day to day care of our horses. We have successfully shown our home raised horses in NCHA competition under the guidance of NCHA trainer Nick O’dell. If you need more information about any of the horses you see on this web site, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email. |
